Castles, and mansions and mazes. ........ oh my!

So I'm feeling like the Parks here are AMAZING!  I mean seriously.  They mean business and some even have Highland Cows (more on that another day I promise Stephy).  It is pure heaven and a life saver during an ever feeling, non-ending lockdown.

Come walk with me in Scotland,

and I'll show you what I mean.

Seriously, this is at the park!

...and here is their box hedge maze - reminiscent of 44 Fitz!

I adore the wee gate houses!

and bridges galore.....

I mean, this is postcard worthy stuff,

but,

I need to interrupt our regularly scheduled blog, to shout out to the birthday boy.

Jackson is 20, how did that happen?

This is the last time I choose his haircut!

Crushed oreos IN the root beet float!?!  He'd make a good pregnant lady!

Speaking of which, the root beer floats were a hit and it was my biggest craving (sans oreos) when I was expecting the kid who is now 2 decades old.
🤦‍♀️

Okay, back to tramping through the woods, next up, Loch Lamond.  I think Loch sounds so much more posh than Lake, don't you?  Loch Lomond is the largest lake in Scotland at 71km.  So it isn't Lake Michigan huge, but it's massive and my i-phone does not do it justice.

I've been told this is NOT a castle.  It is in my country.

A wee cemetery.

A much beloved cat in the pet cemetery.

And a gate guarding nothing which made me endlessly happy!

But we aren't done yet!

I credit my good friend Aine with making me so happy and introducing me to new parks every week!  I'm unsure I would survive without her and our tree bathing snow-drop sighting forays!

Check out this castle at the next park.  I mean, this is beyond cool right!!!

If these walls could talk, just imagine the secrets they they could tell.

A pathway of snowdrops!  My new fav flower as it is the first one to indicate spring has sprung!

The trees here are all moss covered and it makes me smile with glee!

And we are never far from a babbling brook!

I swear to you that I just can't wait every week to see where Aine will think of next!  It keeps me hopeful that we can have a life outside of our homes.  Thanks my dear friend for getting me out of the house and exploring!

Kitty Crocker strikes (out) again

Just so you don't think everything is perfect in the kitchen (like that thought ever passed your mind), these are the vegan cupcakes that did not want to stay together.  But when you have Levi around, eating the bottoms, you can make whoopie pies out of the tops, with just a bit of (not home-made) frosting as glue.  Those were IMHO, 'deliciouso' !

All's well that ends well!

Trek on all you readers!

ps - Jackson's taxes are filed!  TootToot!  Oma's will be soon. 💪

The battle of the buildings....

I've recently become a tourist in my own town, which kinda fits since every time I open my mouth and talk, the other person thinks I am ...
