A wee birthday blog full of big gratitude!

WOW!  There is Seriously nothing like having a FB birthday.  To hear from friends from around the world and from all the way back to every part of my life.  I just love getting all the messages to remind me how incredibly blessed my life has been.  From Tastee Freez, to Duke, to Dublin to Grand Rapids, from MSU to the Lansing Sexton Big Reds, from Michigan to Scotland.  I feel like so many wonderful souls have touched my life, and I just can't think of how these mere words will express how grateful I feel.

I even got to talk to so many friends as well.  With a few serenading me from the US to Israel.  I don't know what I did to deserve all of this attention and love, but whatever it was, I hope to do more of it....because that was a blast!  You all made my heart sing and my soul dance with life!

The Scotland Squad showed up in aces as well.  With Jackson and I trying the new Michelin starred restaurant for lunch, and ending up at the Hillhead Bookclub for Levi to join us for a burger after his Chemisty National 5 exam.  The weather was a belter, and Effie stopped by in the morning letting me know she ordered it expressly for me.  My friends are something powerful I'll tell ya!

I walked all over the city, still in my boot, but nothing dampening my spirit.  It reminded me just how much I love living here and that I still get to live with both my boys.  That is a gift I never EVER thought I would have at this point in time and I relish every minute of it!  Coming together every night for dinner and a board game.  Wow - I just feel so lucky to have this time with Jackson and Levi, that I know is ever fleeting.

So I leave you on this Sunday, beaming with gratitude for all of you that have been a part of my life.  I have learned from all of you, loved and laughed, as well as cried.  It has been a life of many ups and many downs, but I'd have it no other way.  As I have had the most amazing ride, and this Scottish Lass is just getting started!

Love you all - thank you for making my birthday so extra special!

Celtic Kitty reporting for duty!

ps - even the cats wouldn't let the day pass without bringing me such a 'lovely' present. 😳

The battle of the buildings....

I've recently become a tourist in my own town, which kinda fits since every time I open my mouth and talk, the other person thinks I am ...
