Our first guest in Glasgow

 Levi:

The Christmas break has started and I am ready to enjoy it! Oh man has this semester been something, tests, assessments, and a lot of work. Finally a break from it all, on Friday I had a half-day of school and just couldn't wait to get home. I made it through the day and was in my last class as I sat there watching the goodbye video. Once it was over I booked it and went home, ate dinner, and went to bed. The next day I woke up, and Jackson my mom and I went to Lidl and Pound Land to get some things. I got some fluffy socks that I am wearing at the time of writing this and I like them very much. The corner I sit in is very cold usually and freezes my feet every time I sit here. The others got normal groceries, we filled up 3 bags and a backpack of stuff. It was a tough walk home but we did it.

After we got home I took a shower and was laying in bed when I heard the doorbell ring, I remembered my dad was coming to visit us for the break! Jackson and I rushed down the stairs to greet him and take his luggage up to the flat. He got settled in and we instantly played a game of marbles thanks, to Jackson's proposal. Jackson won of course and it was really fun, after that we all sat down in the living room and watched "The Queen's Gambit" a really good show about an orphan girl who learns to play chess competitively and gets quite good at it. We sat there and enjoyed the show as it went on and eventually all got tired and said our goodbyes for the night.

The next morning we had a reservation at a restaurant called "Celinos". We all got ready right after getting up at around 12:15 PM and headed out. Once we got there we wore our masks through the restaurant and got to our table, admiring the opulent decorations of the place. After thinking for a while we all ordered and I got a whole Margarita pizza with fries on the side. This was probably the best pizza I have had and it was very nice. I ate the whole thing to my and everyone's surprise. The next part was my favorite, dessert.  I ordered a sticky toffee pudding it was very, very delicious and sugary as expected. After like 2 hours we left, Jackson and I chose to go shopping with my dad while my mom went off to buy her things. We three went to a hardware store to check it out and didn't buy anything as we didn't need any hardware at the time and went to some other places to get some snacks and other items.

After the trip, it was getting dark even though it was only 3:30 PM and we went home to watch another episode of "The Queen's Gambit."  After the show we all hugged and went our separate ways. Jackson went to play chess of course after watching a show about chess. My dad went to cook some chili. My mom went to browse Facebook as usual. And I went to write my segment of the blog! The next three weeks will be a blast for sure with my dad here!

Jackson:

Yesterday my dad arrived in Glasgow. It was a Saturday and we were at Lidl right before he got to our house around 1 PM. Once he got here we ran down to see him and helped him bring up his things. I helped him set up wifi on his devices and we hung around the house for the rest of the night. I showed him some videos about Chess and had him make a chess.com account so we could play. We played a match of chess and I won. The next day we had a reservation at a nice italian restaurant. We plan to go to more restaurants.  Levi, my dad and I walked past a Vietnamese place in Partick that we want to try some day for lunch. We plan to give him a tour of the Glasgow Uni lights that are hung up and to George square where all the Christmas lights are set up. We also wanted to get a car and drive around to visit some cool landmarks. After our lunch on Sunday, my Mom brought home a shoe rack that she ventured to find at the Lidl in Finnieston.  She luckily found one and we put it together Sunday night. It fit right under the table next to our front door and now holds all of our shoes that we have. We have been watching a limited series on netflix called 'The Queens Gambit' and watched the second episode tonight. My dad and I have already seen it but we wanted to show Levi and my Mom because it is such a good show. After we watched the second episode I went to my room to take part in a chess tournament my friends and I were doing. I won a couple games but lost the third game to my friend Kevin.

Kitty:

Thanks to Tim, Chelsea and Oma, I got an entire luggage of stuff from home!  Christmas came early!  It was so exciting to open everything up.  Oma even slipped in some surprises like her hand knitted socks, fels-naptha soap, goo-gone and another beloved cast iron pan.  Woooohooo!  Funny the things that make you happy when you are an adult!

Levi even got some Christmas lights Oma had from Dublin!

On another note..................................................Kitty Crocker has been sent to time-out!  She may not come out until next year!

🤬🤬🤬

We wish you all a very Happy Christmas!  Love, hugs and good health is being sent your way.
